The room at Hatago Sakura was absolutely amazing! It had a private bathroom with a hot tub and bath, which was perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The view of Miyajima from the room was breathtaking, and the hot spring bath in the room was a delightful surprise. The coffee machine in the room was a nice touch too. As someone who loves being close to the beach, this room had everything I needed for a good night's sleep.
Personally, I found the stocked minibar in the room unnecessary. But hey, different strokes for different folks!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. The room was beautifully designed with traditional Japanese decor and the futons were exceptionally comfortable. The highlight of my stay was the private onsen, which was the most relaxing and luxurious experience. The breakfast was also delicious and offered a choice of both Japanese and European options. this hotel provided all the necessary amenities and even included complimentary drinks in the room. The location was not an issue for me as I had a rental car, and I enjoyed the convenience of being close to a lovely little restaurant. Additionally, the hotel offered stunning views of Miyajima Island, adding to the overall charm of my stay.
No negatives, everything exceeded my expectations!

I had a truly exceptional experience at a ryokan in a beautiful place. From the moment I arrived, the staff at Hatago Sakura couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They picked me up from the train station and even took me to a fantastic local restaurant for dinner. The onsen was a true highlight - a divine experience. my stay at Hatago Sakura exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hatsukaichi.

The hotel is located a bit far from Miyajima Island, requiring a train ride and transfer. the staff provides a timely pick-up service from the station. the room, although traditional Japanese style, is not up to par with other ryokans and lacks views. the breakfast is standard but cannot be compared to Kaiseki dinner in a Kyoto restaurant. Nonetheless, the bathroom facilities are clean and well-equipped, and the staff is attentive and friendly.
The room lacks authenticity and ambiance compared to other ryokans.

Spending Christmas at this Ryokan was a special treat. The traditional Japanese breakfast was amazing and beautifully presented. The private outdoor Onsen attached to the room was an unusual and luxurious amenity. The family who owns the facility was extremely friendly and welcoming, making our stay extra special. They provided a shuttle service which made it easy to reach local train stations and nearby restaurants.
The location was a bit remote, which meant that we had to rely on the shuttle service or arrange other forms of transportation. , the language barrier could have been an issue, but the owners spoke perfect English.
